I’ve been proudly supporting Fairhaven Rescue Mission in Covington for the past 25 years because their unwavering integrity and genuine compassion lift up the most vulnerable in our community. Their heart‑centered mission doesn’t just meet basic needs. It restores dignity, hope, and a sense of belonging. It’s been an honor to stand with an organization that truly lives out love in action.

Andrea has been a supporter of Fairhaven Rescue Mission since she was six years old when she earned her first Fairhaven volunteer badge. As a child, Andrea would join her father, Jon Connelly, as he conducted chapel under Paul Kaiser, or filled in wherever Fairhaven needed him. Andrea’s love for Fairhaven grew even stronger when she learned that her beloved Calvary Christian School Principal, David Hammers, had become Executive Director of Fairhaven years ago. I share the love for Fairhaven that my wife has had her entire life. Ultimately, we support this wonderful ministry because we are led by God to do so.

Brittany Stepp – Community Liaison at Addiction Recovery Center (ARC)
Fairhaven is an organization near and dear to my heart. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had the opportunity to serve meals to the homeless men and women they serve, provide gently used clothing and other items, and sit in on chapel services that are provided nightly. In 2024 alone, they provided 5,720 nights of safe shelter, 24,226 meals, and 1,200 case management hours toward their revamped homelessness recovery New Life Program.
I can confidently say that I’ve never seen an organization that goes above and beyond the “industry standard” for providing a meal and a cot for the night. Fairhaven provides assistance in acquiring an ID, a GED, and bridging the gap regarding education, certifications, & trade skills.
I can also say, as a fellow donor, that it’s comforting seeing the donated funds at work locally, not going to a large conglomerate and not lining the pockets of a non-profit’s CEO. When I tithe, I recognize that God can do so much more good with that 10% than I ever could with my 90%. In the same manner I know that the money I give is truly an investment, exponentially benefitting those it impacts.
It costs $3.55 to feed one person at the Mission with sit-down restaurant quality food; imagine the impact your donation could have today, locally, to help get your neighbors up on their feet.

Mary Kay Laird, CPA – Director of Business Development at Supporting Strategies
After observing the wonderful Christ focused impact that Fairhaven provides for our community, I asked how I can support this team that serves the needs of others. Based upon my personal challenges in location and work schedule, and combined with a better understanding of Fairhaven operations, a regularly scheduled monetary donation is an offering that I can provide to support this ministry and demonstrate Jesus’s love to others.
