DAVID
“Before coming to the mission, I was homeless without a whole lot of hope. After I left, I now live, stay in independent living, have a job, and a lot more stability. There’s always gonna be room for improvement, but I’m doing a lot better. They provided the stability I needed to be able to start rebuilding my life. I’m thankful to the mission because their graciousness and stability that they do provide.”

“Since coming to the Mission I am a better person. I have a closer relationship with God, and I just feel like my life in whole is better. Fairhaven has been a godsend to me. I don’t have all the weight on my shoulders that I had before coming here. I am thankful to the Mission because they have supported me and helped me along my journey.”
DOROTHY
“I realized that there was a lot of things that I not only needed to forgive others for, but I needed to repent and ask forgiveness of myself. I’ve just seen the goodness of this place and how it would actually benefit for me to stay here because it helped me find Christ again.
“I definitely see myself completely different than how I did before because before, I was miserable. I was sad. I was alone. And this was all mentally because of things that I’ve endured throughout my life, and now I see that I’m not alone. I have God with me always.”

CAROLE
“I learned a lot about the Lord Jesus Christ. The Mission has impacted my life a lot because now I go to church regularly. I read the Bible also with my great-grandchildren and my grandchildren. I found a whole new meaning in Lord Jesus Christ. I made a lot of good relationships here at Fairhaven.”
DARLENE
“They show love here. You know, show responsibility and love and it’s a good team. It’s a team effort when you’re here. I’m thankful to the mission because of the brotherhood and the love they give.”
JAYDEN
“I’m thankful to the mission because they gave me a brighter outlook on life. I don’t feel like I’m alone in this fight anymore. I hope people will support the mission because it’s a wonderful thing to do, it helps the homeless get a hot meal, and it’s a place to go to get off of the street.”
BARBARA
“Before coming to the mission I was lost. Now after coming to the, to the mission I’m found. God is there looking over you and, that’s just a lot of weight off your shoulders, you know? I keep working towards bettering myself, following God’s plan, and all of that. I will hope people will support the mission because, honestly, a lot people do need help. This place has been helpful and I want other people to be helped.”
AARON
“Before I came here to Fairhaven, I guess I would say I was in a state of depression, and since now that I’m here, I feel that that has been lifted, that burden, it’s gone away. They know where my heart’s at. They know the servant attitude.
“I see myself as not being so judgmental towards others and more endearing. I’m thankful for Fairhaven because, you know, when things went wrong in my past and my health failed me, they were here for me and they’ve provided for me, not only in the physical sense but spiritually and that’s the blessing. Not only am I getting fed, but I’m also getting fed spiritually as well.”

“Before I came to Fairhaven, my spirit life wasn’t quite as what it is now. But now it’s even better than what it was. I know what God can do for you because of what he’s done for me. I got a personal relationship. I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have God on my side.”

“I feel like this is where I need to be. I’m thankful for Fairhaven because they provided me with shelter and help that I needed. I hope people would support Fairhaven because you can trust these people, they’re helpful, everybody here keeps a smile on their face, too.”

“If anything’s gonna help me, it’s gonna be the Lord’s word, because that alone right there drew me in more than the food or the bed. I’ve learned to be a lot more patient and less worried on the things that I really have no control over. It’s helped me to realize that not everything is in my control. I have to be willing to, you know, give it to God.”
